What is physics?

Physics is the study of energy, matter, space, and time. It's a branch of science that deals with theories and observations about the structure of the universe, its origin, and the laws that govern its behavior.

Where we work

Jodi Cooley is an Assistant Professor of Experimental Physics at Southern Methodist University. She is a collaborator on the Cryogenic Dark Matter Search (CDMS) and the next-generation SuperCDMS experiment.
Steve Sekula is an Assistant Professor of Experimental Physics at Southern Methodist University. He is a collaborator on the BaBar experiment, based at the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, and a collaborator on the ATLAS experiment at CERN in Geneva, Switzerland.
